A Good Girl Saved by Jesus!

I was saved at Sister Therese Collins' Mission, on February 21, 1972, for which I thank Jesus. Prior to my salvation, I was a good, quiet girl. I believed in God, but felt an emptiness in my heart. When I'd go to bed at night, I'd cry and thoughts would arise within me, "Why am I not happy? I'm doing my best to be a good girl, I don't smoke, I don' drink, I don't run around, I'm living a quiet life, close to my mother."

My father was already saved, and was praying to Jesus to send us a Shepherd according to the heart of God. Glory to God! The Lord answered these prayers, and sent Sister Therese Collins, a Servant of the Lord, to bring us the Good News of Salvation, by Jesus.

The first time I heard her, I knew for sure that she was a woman of God. She preached me a living Jesus, who could make me happy. I understood right away, that this is what I lacked to be happy.

That night, I gave my heart to Jesus. Sister Therese Collins prayed for me, and Jesus saved me. What a difference it has made since Jesus saved me! Life is wonderful, and I'm happy. A touch of God brings joy.

Today, I am part of the Family of God, and Sister Therese Collins is my spiritual mother. I love her with all my heart because she led me to Jesus.

I have the same feeling that the Scripture in Ruth 1:16 says, (From the Bible), "Intreat me not to leave thee, or to return from following after thee: for whither thou goest, I will go; and where thou lodgest, I will lodge: thy people shall be my people, and thy God my God."

A Delinquant Saved by Jesus!

I thank the Lord Jesus for having saved me at the age of 16.

My parents were believers in Jesus. I gave them a lot of trouble during my teen-age years, in elementary as well as in high school.

I was put out of high school, because I gave the teachers too much trouble. Instead of going to school, I would leave for town, and the school would have to send the police and teachers, searching the town for me and my friends. I made my way with my fists, and led a very immoral life.

My mother received calls from the Principal of the school because they wanted to put me in a reform school, because of the fact that I was too turbulent and would disturb all the class. My parents were at the end of their rope, and not knowing what to do with me, one day, my mother told me she would put me in a reform school. I was waiting for the day that it would happen, so that I could live my life the way I wanted, far from the family home.

My dad had an alternative, and that was to see his daughter changed and saved. My dad did not want to put me in a reform school. He was a strong believer in Jesus and attended the Mission.

One day, February 10, 1972, he brought me to the Mission, where Sister Therese Collins held Missionary meetings. That night, my heart was touched by the preaching of the Word, and I accepted Jesus as my personal Saviour. Since that day, my life was changed. The school principal saw immediately that something had happened to me. Things were different to the extent that she felt she could ask me to supervise at school. The same principal came to a meeting, and said that all of Quebec should hear Sister Therese Collins preach; because then their lives would be changed for the better, as Odette's was. She also said that she was very happy for the radical change that took place in me.

Since that day, I've experienced the real joy of living. I was also healed of a heart attack through prayer. Since I go to the Mission, blessings follow my life, and I am very thankful to the Lord and to the ministry, and have peace in my heart.

A lost youth became found, thanks to Jesus and Sis. Collins. I have learned to abhor that which is evil, and to cleave to that which is good, as it says in the Bible.

"For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord." - Romans 8:38, 39 (From the Bible)
